We often think of strength as having it all together and being composed, unshaken, always “on.” However, the truth is that real strength looks different. It’s softer, perhaps most importantly, it includes vulnerability.

The Courage to Feel

To be vulnerable is to allow yourself to feel fully, even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s acknowledging fear, sadness, or doubt instead of trying to push it deep down inside. That’s not weakness. That’s courage.

Vulnerability invites growth. When we allow ourselves to sit with our emotions and not run from them, we give ourselves the space to understand, heal, and ultimately evolve.

The goal isn’t to stay in a place of pain. It’s to move through it. Let your experiences shape you, then rise, stronger, wiser, and more resilient. Like a phoenix from the ashes, your rebirth begins the moment you decide not to let hardship define you.

Every setback, challenge, and uncomfortable moment contributes to who we are becoming, even if it doesn’t make sense right away.

Growth often disguises itself as discomfort. But with time, perspective reveals purpose. Trust that nothing you experience is wasted. Every chapter, no matter how painful, adds to the depth, empathy, and insight we carry forward.

Speak to Yourself with Intention

Affirmations can help. Daily, intentional reminders of your strength can help you reframe your mindset and build emotional resilience. Everyday I remind myself these things:
‘I am capable.

‘I grow through what I go through.

‘I choose resilience over regret.

By practicing affirmations consistently, it becomes easy to create space for self-compassion and possibility, even during difficult times.

You Don’t Have to Be Unbreakable

Resilience doesn’t mean you never falter. It means you allow yourself to bend, to break if needed, but then to rebuild with greater clarity and strength.

You don’t have to be unbreakable to be powerful. You just have to keep going.
